LONDON LODGE HOTEL

London Lodge Hotel

Like Visiting An Old Friend

In 1996, Mandy and Bernard took over London Lodge Hotel in Lexham Gardens, treating it as if it was their first child. After obtaining her degree in Hotel Management, Mandy had been working in 5/4-star hotels with over 450 bedrooms in Australia and Hong Kong. London Lodge Hotel became a chance to work independently on a small scale as a family, delivering service with a personal touch. They are proud to have turned this townhouse into a boutique hotel that many guests call their London home -no fussy, formal service, but an inviting and charming place to stay.

In keeping with the stunning exterior, Mandy and Bernard have preserved the essence of this Victorian townhouse, decorating the hotel in the period’s style. Every furnishing in the hotel has been lovingly selected for guests’ every comfort. Once, a salesperson asked Mandy why she was putting 5-star luxury beds into this property, and Mandy told him that we would like guests to feel just as comfortable here as they are at home. Our beds, and their promise of a good night’s sleep, let guests relax after a long day’s work or travelling.
Throughout the 28 years and counting of running the hotel, we have been very lucky to have the support of all our regular guests. We know that the essence of this hotel is people, whether it be the guests we love to get to know, or our fantastic staff, who we credit with providing consistent friendly service and a pristine cleaning service. At the heart of our operation is a genuine love of meeting people, and Mandy has learned so much from guests from all over the world. You will find her talking to you first thing in the morning most days to see how your stay is and if we can do anything better. All the items in the hotel, from the furniture, curtains, style, and colours of the rooms, even to little things like the orchids in the hotel, are all hand-picked by Mandy, so it is not just a normal hotel, it is a hotel with full of personal touch.

Home Away From Home

We offer all the standard services you would expect from a quality hotel, including 24-hour support from reception, message and secretarial services, laundry arrangements, wake-up calls and safety deposit boxes. In addition, the caring and friendly team will be more than happy to make restaurant reservations, assist in purchasing theatre tickets, or arrange taxis, flowers, chocolates and/or champagne on your behalf, or anything else you may require to make your stay a memorable and enjoyable one. Our elegant ensuite Victorian rooms offer the very latest in luxury facilities.

Accessibility

Although we are lucky to have preserved our hotel’s Victorian style, its historical design poses a challenge to the hotel’s aim of accessibility. However, apart from the steps to the front door, we have stair-free access via a lift to all floors within the hotel, as well as several rooms (Superior Singles, Superior Doubles, and Superior Twins) with walk-in showers. Please contact us directly for more information about our rooms, as we would love to accommodate you and make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Corporate Social Responsibility

London Lodge Hotel embraces Corporate Social Responsibility as part of its duty in helping to protect your environment and encourage those with whom we trade to do the same. We strive to play an active part and support the community in which we operate. London Lodge Hotel’s team are aware of the policy and are fully supportive in ensuring that proactive efforts and ideas are initiated.

1. Get Unplugged

Many people don’t realize that their cell/phone charger, laptop cable and other electrical plugs drain power while they are plugged in, even if they are not in use. In fact, only 5% of the power used by an average cell/phone charger is used to charge the phone – the other 95% is wasted energy.

2. Seize The Day

Take advantage of natural light as much as possible – it is as renewing for your mood as it is for our planet.

3. Chill Out

We let you adjust the room temperature to maximize both energy efficiency and personal comfort.

4. Save While You Sleep

How many of you change your linen every day at home? Please read our environmental policy in your bathroom. Use common sense: Be sure to turn off your lights and TV and make sure taps are not dripping before leaving your room.

5. Lights Out

Keeping the bathroom light off overnight will not only make a big impact but it will help you to sleep better. Travelling with a nightlight is an easy, eco-friendly alternative.
