London Lodge Hotel is located in the heart of Victorian Kensington and is just minutes away from the renowned Victoria and Albert Museum, Science Museum, and Natural History Museum. Kensington Palace, the Royal Albert Hall, as well as the Design Museum, and the exclusive High Street Kensington, Harrods and Kings Road shopping are all within walking distance. Both the underground (District and Piccadilly lines) and London's famous red buses (C1, 328 and 74) give easy access to the theatres and nightlife of the West End.


London is one of the greenest cities in the world and some of the most beautiful parks in Europe are on our doorstep including Hyde Park, Holland Park, and Kensington Gardens where Kensington Palace is located. Music lovers should not miss a chance to visit the Royal Albert Hall, also in Kensington, for world class classical music, opera and shows. For the antique collectors among you, the internationally famous Portobello Road is a short bus ride away. For contemporary art lovers, we recommend the Saatchi Gallery. Business travellers will be within walking distance of Olympia Exhibition Centre and the hotel is close to the A4 for direct access to Heathrow airport.

The hotel is located near Earls Court tube station, which is served by the District and Piccadilly lines and can take you to many central London attractions. We are also near Gloucester Road tube station, served by the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines. A Guide to Kensington

We highly recommend a walk down Lexham Mews and Stratford Road (turn right out of the hotel and take the first right on the mews) to experience the cafés, restaurants, and boutiques that our corner of Kensington has to offer. Our friendly team of staff are more than happy to recommend the many fantastic restaurants just minutes away from the hotel.


Our closest supermarkets are Sainsbury’s Local on Earl’s Court Road and Tesco Superstore on Cromwell Road. Kensington Post Office on Kensington High Street is the closest post office to us. Banks and exchange bureaus are usually open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and some on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12 noon. Exchange bureaus are usually open every day from early morning to late evening (except Christmas Day).

London Heathrow Airport to London Lodge

12.5 miles (20km) from the hotel and there are several transport options to choose from. A Taxi is an easy option to reach the hotel, however, taking the Tube from the airport is just as easy. Take the Piccadilly Line directly to Earls Court Tube Station, exit via the Earls Court Road exit, turn left out of the station, walk straight, cross the main Cromwell Road, continue straight ahead and the next street on your right is Lexham Gardens where the hotel is situated (It is 5 minutes walk to the hotel). If you decide to travel by Heathrow Express, you will need to take a District line underground to Earls Court tube station from Paddington station. It will take you around 40 minutes to 1 hour to reach the hotel.

London Gatwick Airport to London Lodge

32 miles (51.5km) from the hotel and is easily reached by different means of transport. You can take the Gatwick Express that goes to Victoria Station and from there take the District Line to Earls Court tube station. The Gatwick Express takes approximately 35 minutes to Victoria Station. The cheapest option is to pre-book an EasyBus shuttle, which will take 65-80 minutes to Victoria Station. Should you decide to take a taxi, it will take approximately one hour and 15 minutes dependant on traffic.

London City Airport to London Lodge

11.8 miles (19km) from the hotel. The easiest way to reach the hotel is to take a taxi which will take around an hour and a half. Should you decide to use DLR services and then the underground, take DLR from London City Airport station to Tower Hill and change for the District Line to Earls Court tube station.

London Stansted Airport to London Lodge

42 miles (67 km) from the hotel. The train is the fastest and most convenient way from Stansted Airport to central London (London Liverpool Street) with an average journey time of 45 minutes. The Stansted Express shuttle bus now operates early morning and late at night. The shuttle can be pre-booked and will take you from the airport to the Victoria Station. It takes around 75 minutes. Obviously there is always the option for a taxi!

London Luton Airport to London lodge

34.4 miles (55 km) from the hotel. Regular rail services to central London take as little as 25 minutes. You can catch the Luton Airport shuttle bus from outside the terminal. This will take you to Luton Airport Parkway station in around 10 minutes where you can catch a train southbound into London St. Pancras (25 minutes) and from there the Piccadilly line to Earls Court tube station. Green Line provides an express coach link between London Luton Airport and Central London and the nearest stop to the hotel is Victoria Green Line. From there you need to walk to Victoria tube station and then take the District line to Earls Court tube station. Pre-booked EasyBus shuttle is another option - it offers a high frequency, low cost express bus service between Central London and Luton Airport. EasyBus coaches run 24-hours a day between the airport and Central London. The closest stop to the hotel is London Victoria. Another option is a taxi!

By Road

All major roads and motorways towards London intersect with the M25 London orbital motorway. The easiest routes are to join the M25 east or westbound, as appropriate, to reach the M4 intersection. Come off the M25 onto the M4 and head towards London. The hotel is off the Cromwell Road, which is the A4 and a continuation of the M4. Take the next left after the junction for Earl's Court, which will be Marloes Road, then turn left onto Lexham Gardens. The hotel is on the right hand side of the road close to the end.

By underground

Earls Court is the closest underground station to the hotel. It is on the Piccadilly and District Lines. At Earls Court, exit via the Earls Court Road exit and turn left, walk straight, cross over Cromwell Road and continue straight, we are the first turning on the right. It is approximately 5 minutes walk.
